Shanequa Monique Charles, a mother, entrepreneur, realtor, life coach, motivator and budding author. She has a strong background in therapy, investment banking and business owning and has spent over 15 years providing a very specific service to all those she has come across...Dedicated Growth Dynamics.
From her high school years as fierce athlete and professional dancer with such companies as Ailey Youth and Preparatory Dance Company of East Harlem to her collage career dancing with groups such as Urban Bush Women, Maya Garrison and countless others, Ms. Charles knew that she had to share her ability to be dedicated with others, leading her self founded Step Team, Natural Disaster, to several competitions across New York and other states, the one goal remained clear and that was to teach her team the importance of Dedicated Growth Dynamics. She carried that desire into co-founding the college's first co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Theta Psi. Her students of her SUNY Potsdam alma mater, have since graduated and become quite successful, leading lives as lawyers, clinicians, artists and teachers themselves.
A budding motivator in 1997, Ms, Charles would soon use all the principles gathered from her youth’s experience to pursue an amazing career as a therapist for those with severe psychiatric illness and chemical dependence issues. Once again, driven by her dedication to teaching others about the dynamics of their own personal growth, Ms. Charles made a name for herself working with such agencies Narco Freedom and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, being the youngest to have such a profound impact on her clients, who most often doubled and tripled her age. During such time owning and operating an interior design company, hair salon and lounge in addition to her full time career.
In 2009, Shanequa decided to switch gears and pursued her second passion, off to Smith Barney/CitiGroup, she endeavored into investment banking. She began as a temp in the tax reporting department before landing her first permanent position in Margin Risk securing a salary of over 20K more than her original position there after only 2 and a half months, making her the highest paid in that department. More records were to broken as Ms. Charles steadily climbed the ranks in a field that she had never previously worked, by growing in title as quickly as she did and redesigning the training program that would prove to be of great use for new comers. With great humility she earned the respect of her co-workers and managers alike.

Shanequa decided that starting a family, so that she could teach her own children the valuable skills that she had learned over the past two decades was of great importance, so she set out to do so. With her physically ill mother growing more and more ill, now was the time more than ever. After three failed pregnancies and almost broken spirits…Shanequa miraculously conceived and birthed Ms. Miracle Robinson, who she dedicated her time pregnant to by not working, in order to have a healthy baby. This was the first time in 18 years that she did not work. Once Miracle was born and Shanequa’s mission of starting a family and making her own mother a first time grand was established, before her untimely death in 2012, Ms. Charles jumped back into the workforce four weeks after Miracle’s splendid birth, broken tailbone and all. Again Shanequa was faced with establishing herself in an unfamiliar territory. There were new feats ahead.
She went to school to become a Realtor and quickly grew to the top of her boss’s and co-workers list as being one of the most dedicated and determined realtors Rapid Realty had ever seen, landing several deposits and deals in her first weeks of employment. Quick to help new comers and those around her, she grew to become a highly sought after agent within her company.
After vigilantly caring for and burying her beloved mother in February of 2012, Shanequa astutely saw what could have been her emotional demise as a unique opportunity to begin to grow and build again. “Sometimes it takes a loss of this magnitude to propel you to the NEXT level, mommy has always said to never let anything stop us(my younger sister and I), not even my death”. Shortly before her mom passed away, they spoke of Shanequa’s vision for building a solid empire; they spoke of Shanequa’s passion for helping others, her passion for baking and her passion to helping others achieve their dreams and goals. It was at Albert Einstein Hospital, where Shanequa's mom passed through her arms to return Home to our Heavenly Father, that she gave birth to the idea of producing her baked goods for mass consumption and starting another business. It’s A Miracle© Edibles and Treats was created and Shanequa’s home made sweet potato pies blossomed onto shelves and functions alike. Shortly there-after Everything SEXY©, Shanequa’s new Avon business was started, which is constantly growing in size and dimension. Shanequa has always been very health conscious and athletic, however, after losing her mother to a brazen toe to toe with a sneaky lung cancer with other health complications, she decided to go full speed ahead and stepped up her dietary and health care regimen by starting Insanity a Beach Body work out designed to trick the muscles of the body into constantly evolving for maximum results. Another baby was born…My Body/Your Body© alive as she decided to become a fitness coach, helping and teaching others how to care for the inner and outer them. After losing six pounds her first week and seeing the results for herself, she knew that she had to continue to share this wonder with others.
Having experienced life, love and all that is between-this single mother and entrepreneur noted that all those that have benefited from her insights up til this point all have all shared their sincerest thank you’s and life stories with her. Birth of another baby was born…BE your BEST!©, the entity that houses the team of life coaches and motivational speakers, that help others find their true callings and channel their energy into self enhancement and positive change and growth.
